Proverbs 18:12 (ESV) Before
destruction a man’s heart is haughty, but humility comes before honor.
Being
humble is not what you wear or how much money you have God never commands us to
look humble! God is talking about an attitude. God wants us to have an attitude
of humility.
God
gave up his power and took the attitude of a servant. God humbled Himself, and
died for sinners as Paul say “and I am of the worst”. Jesus humbled himself, stepped
off a throne and in to a manger, left roads paved with Gold and stepped on to dirt.
Jesus
exercised an attitude of humility. Jesus humbled himself to serve others. Jesus
died for us!
It’s
not the churches job to serve you; it’s your Job to serve the church and
further the kingdom of Jesus Christ!
