How we do it all!!!
Ephesians 6:10–12 (NLT)
10A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty
power.
11Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to
stand firm against all strategies of the devil.
12For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood
enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against
mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly
places.
So, I love this
text we are about to learn from! Paul, does it again!
He gives us so much to process,
·
We have this unseen inheritance
·
We are a work in progress, that will never be
finished
·
We all have a past to deal with
·
And through Jesus our past is reconciled through
Jesus to the Father
·
That every believer has a power, the Holy
Spirit, given to us by God to help us
·
That we are on a new path
o Of
Humility
o Gentleness
o Patience’s
o With
all in our path
·
We are one big dysfunctional family
·
That we
live in a very dark world
o full
of evil
·
and we need to speak the truth to each other
·
that we are Gods children, and we need to start behaving
like it
·
that we are to be the light to a dark world
·
and then he hits us with what our families
should look like
o Wives
submit
o Men
love your wife like Jesus loves his church
o Kids
obey your parents, and honor them
·
And then he throws the gauntlet down
o You
got to work hard
o No
matter the condition
o No
matter the boss
·
And we do it all not for my own good, but Gods
glory!?!?!?!?!
o What
o I’m
supposed to do all this for God???
And right when you’re about to tap out, he throws this at
you. You can’t do this on your own, you need some help. Because it’s not just
the things you can see that is coming after you, it’s the devil himself and all
his legions that are unseen they are coming after you too! Then he tells how we
are to survive all this!
VS 10
A final word: Be strong in the Lord
and in his mighty power.
You can do this on
your own, you need some Jesus!

You can’t follow the bible with God
·
You can’t survive this world without Jesus
·
The bible is just words, unless you have:
o The
power of the almighty God in heaven to revel himself to you
o The
living water of Jesus to quench your thirst for something more
o And
the power of prayer, led by the Holy Spirit, to change your heart
o You
need the strength of the trinity of God to give you the strength you need to
survive this world!!
You might be able
to fight through life, but Satan, you will never defeat alone!
Vs 11 Put
on all of God’s armor so that you
will be able to stand firm against
all strategies of the devil.

All good soldiers need armor and weapons to
survive
·
Whatever you do in life you need the tools and
knowledge to do it
·
One is
not enough
·
Satan has had thousands of years, to study us,
to figure you out
o You
might fool your boss
o Your
spouse
o But
Satan, you are no match for, I know, I tried and failed
o He
has your number
o He
knows your deepest secrets
o Your
darkest desires
o And
he will use them
·
Because it’s not just what’s starring at you
that needs to worry you!
The real scary
stuff!
Vs 12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against
evil rulers and authorities of the unseen
world, against mighty powers in this
dark world, and against evil spirits
in the heavenly places.

This is scary move kind of stuff
·
The monster in your closet stuff
·
The bump in the night
·
The real fight, is deep in your soul
o The
recesses of your mind
o It’s
the battle for your heart
·
Satan wants you to have all he can give you
here, to have you forever, for eternity in Hell!
·
The real battle is raging all around us, and we
are clueless, and defenseless, with the full and might power of God!
